It was reported today that a man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison after setting a woman on fire because she rejected several of his marriage proposals.
The woman, Hulya Cavus, a 38-year-old mother of three was reluctant to remarry because of abuse she had received from a former husband. Her ex-husband, Gulbey Cavus stabbed her six times while she was at her workplace.
Are some people magnets for abuse? If I was this woman I would be locking myself away from all men forever after going through all that!
